Teachers Greatest Ever Challenge - ONLINE TEACHING

 

Finally it's end of a joyful Sunday; the day on which you live to the fullest with all the liberty. Sunday is a mere day to take a break from all your professional responsibilities rather, a day where you can spend your time with your family and you can interact with your loved ones. It's the day to Live for Yourself. Sunday is probably loved the most by everyone and so by me. But finally it's the end of the beautiful Sunday and it's time to get back to the bed; get yourself ready for the next challenging week.

Usually, with the beginning of Monotonous Monday everyone sets back to their respective professional work. But during this hard time, things have changed drastically. Some need to step out of their house with the motive to earn money, while some strictly follow the agenda of: Work From Home in a Smart and Better way. But here, I would like to draw your attention towards one of the leading servants of society - A TEACHER. 

Alarm strikes at 6 o'clock sharp. It's time to get ready for the long and challenging day rather a week; which has many provocating tasks. This period is such that teaches many things to even a Teacher and helps seeking varied experiences of Life.

 

During these days of Pandemic, many things have changed, so does the Pattern of teaching. No schools, no coaching, and the best thing which can build the society - 'EDUCATION' seems to have taken a break. Due to the outbreak of Corona virus and it's rapid spread, social distancing has become a mandatory factor to sustain life. So there's no hope of resuming the school or coaching sooner or later. Though, Educators aren't ready to give up. They are quite confident to switch to online mode within no time. Apparently it's seems so easy to switch to online mode but reality is something so different and difficult initially. Let's just summaries a single day of life of Teacher during this Pandemic.

 

They wake up, freshen up themselves and get ready for the Lectures. Chancing upon risk to their own life, some travel to schools to take Online Lectures from there while majority faculties prefer Work From Home agenda. Initially, all the educators struggled a lot as they had to think and do something unusual which they never had dealt with. Young Teachers didn't panic more as they are befriend of technology and basically a Mobile Zombie; but here goes a contrasting fact! They too struggled during all that learning process. Meanwhile, the teachers who are 35+ or aren't mobile friendly found it difficult to deal with all such gadgets and technology altogether. Yes it was a very clumsy situation of life for all the Educators. But Above all, their main goal was to educate the young minds and prove the world that every difficult situation has a positive alternate. They actually decided to impart knowledge either by hook or by crook. They can't give up. They won't give up. They ain't having any other source to earn and to lead their life during this hard times. They must have to look after their families and if They won't work, then Who? And if they won't teach, then who'll make a better society for the world? They are having many reasons to work and so without taking the absurd tasks negatively, Teachers started to update themselves positively and got ready to update the world by introducing the new way of learning, with the new way of teaching.

 

 

 

They strongly started believing the motto: 

'The greater the difficulty, the more glory in surmounting it. Skillful pilots gain their reputation from storms and tempests.'

The Burning Fire within them to Educate the Young Minds, cannot be dimmed by any Bad Breaks; Kudos to them!

 

 

 

Finally, it's time to start up Session. This is the time which shows real value of Mobile stand or a Tripod to place the device for comfortable study. But the ones with No Tripod, face more difficulties. Somehow they make adjustments with books overlapping each other to support a Mobile Phone. If it's a theoretical subject then Screen Sharing makes things lot easier. "Hello! Can you see the Board? Is it perfectly visible to you all?" Sharp keen noise comes from the mobile phone, "Yes Sir(or Mam)". That's great, so let's begin! The moment educator starts with their teaching, a voice comes, "We can't hear you properly i.e. not audible. Your voice is cracking so much Sir (or Mam)". "There might be a network problem", Frustrated Teacher responds in a positive manner, "Let me fix it and then we'll continue". This kind of stuff usually takes place. If such kind of things doesn't happen with you during your working hours, then you prove to be lucky. Though, teacher tries to fix some network bugs at their earliest so that they may proceed further with the motive.

Words feel short to explain those emotions. It's clumsy and so frustrating. But, Smiling Face and Positive Attitude towards work makes TEACHER - A KIND OF WONDER OF THE WORLD. Through my words I don't mean that online teaching isn't interesting. It is, but one needs to make it interesting. There are always two sides of a coin. So Online teaching is having its own Pros and Cons. While Teaching with screen sharing, one can use different colour markers on a blank screen and make things look attractive which captivates students' mind to increase eagerness. One should keep writing something like main words or draw the situation to make them understand the concept easily. It can help us to keep them attentive because students love to study topics with animated concepts and tricks. So screen sharing isn't a problem, rather update yourself and make it look interesting. 

While dealing on the board during online class which I prefer personally while teaching Mathematics or Science. Yeah it's difficult to keep teaching when no Student is present physically in front of you. That silence in the classroom kills me everyday. Rather that silence hurts many Teachers. It's good to deal with such Subjects on the board. Just because one can get freedom to express ourselves and it's great to solve mathematical problems on the board. It makes Students feel that Teacher is actually present in front of them physically and that's where they won't get bored watching you on screen and will resist weavering of mind. Interacting with them helps Teacher judge whether they are attentive or not.

It's hard to teach in that manner because Teachers love their Students. They feel alive when they see their Students sitting in front of them and listening to them. Yes it happens something during regular days that students don't feel like to study at school. Teachers sometimes indulge in a quarrel with students. But yeah it's fine it's part of life. But that Student-Teacher relation, that bond is beautiful.

We miss our former and secure life. Let us hope and pray that world soon get normal and everything resumes as it was earlier. And Students and Teachers again get united in the Classroom and those beautiful moments goes on one more time.

ONLINE LECTURES V/S OFFLINE CLASS

 

Amidst of Covid-19 Pandemic going on, there's one important question mark revolving around everyone's head; and it's that of Education. How the education will proceed in this Pandemic? How students will get to learn during this Pandemic? As everything has come to a halt so will the entire education system come down? Also, there are complete restrictions on the movement of citizens, so there's no scope for students to go and attend school or coaching class.

In this scenario, there's a solution that one looks up to i.e. Online Lectures. Online Lectures are conducted on various platform these days. Students get to learn just by watching what's going on the screen and learn the things. It's seems easy to do but the fact is that it's the most difficult way to learn. One can learn the theories online just by listening, but for the calculative subjects one must need someone physically in front to teach the logic and concepts. So there are few pros and cons of having an online lecture as compared to offline class.

Practically right now all the students are apparently having vacation but actually they are not utilizing their time. Also during these free days, by not doing anything related to studies, they are moving away from the studies. It's like an idle mind is devils home. So it's good to learn online just because at least you can be in touch with the education and not taking off your interest from learning. Today or tomorrow you have to learn and as it seems impossible to start with the regular offline class at school, colleges and coaching classes. One must try the new stuff and try to learn with the online lectures. Obviously it will not be as much effective as offline class as I already said that everything has its own pros and cons, but if you want to learn then you can learn anywhere and anyhow. So with no other alternative, one must accept and learn online with full on dedication.

It's just a kind of proper utilization of your time. You can be ahead of many just by going online. Many being in laziness will not opt for this Opportunity but smart people obviously will do. And as a consequence, when the world will resume again, the ones who studied online will definitely lead and be a step ahead compared to others. So it's a bright and shining opportunity for all to enjoy learning and try to develop our skills. As one isn't present physically, but virtually we need to get the idea regarding what is being taught. So it will surely help you to develop your skills to learn, listen and understand the things.

One also having the other option to learn. That is learning through Online YouTube Video Lectures. That is also one of the important medium to learn. One can't communicate in YouTube but can ask your doubts in the comment section. So it's also a way to clear off your doubts. Learning isn't a task to do. Learning is a constant process that one must need to carry out on regular basis. So Online YouTube Lectures is also one aidful medium to learn.

So Offline Class is also having an advantage over Online Lectures. If you ask me which one is better, than I'll opt for an Offline Class. But at the moment, where there is no other alternative present, one should take the online education in order to utilize the time in a most productive way.

MATHS Paper - Topic to debate

It's all became a topic of Debate about 10th Maths gseb paper. Here I would like to share my own personal opinions...

Yeah it's an acceptable thing that paper was tough for the students of class 10th to face off. They just handed over the paper for which they aren't prepared. Aren't prepared? Really? Yes as per my opinion, we never prepared them for the tough competitions. Teachers never told them that it's okay if there would be no questions from the textbook. Teachers never told them to be ready for the tough challenge to face. We always told them to look after their marks rather than the knowledge they are aiming. It's important to back them and encourage them for what they are.

By doing an issue and criticizing boards means we are not preparing our childrens for tough situations in life. We want them to be okay within their comfort zone. If they are crying, let them cry. Just sit after them and talk about the life situations and make them understand that every time situation won't turn out to be in your favour. Sometimes life will give you a bright sunny morning, sometimes life will come up with dark stormy night. Everyone loves the happy and calm moments of life. But those who can survive in tough conditions can be a super hero. So this maths paper was just like this. It wasn't just about the knowledge. It was all about the amalgamation of knowledge, temperament, patience, and self confidence.

If you performed well in Maths paper, then cheers just because except marks, you are having a strong mental strength to tackle tough situation in life. And if your maths paper wasn't up to mark, then you are fortunate to have a good life lesson. Lesson which you might can't get anywhere. You became mentally strong to face the difficult life situations. You had an idea that how to tackle the tough situations in life. You learned to stay positive even when the situation turned worst. ACCORDING TO ME, THESE LESSONS ARE BEYOND THE MARKS. Really grateful and PROUD to see my students standing tall during the tough phase and fought hard to be at the top of their efforts. You gave your best and what else you want in life except your best efforts. I'm really feeling proud to watching you growing up and fighting with the life.

So chin up champions! It's all fine to have ups and downs in life. Just focus and concentrate hard in your next paper. Prepare well, gear up and just go again to give your best input. Follow the process without expecting the output is the best way to lead the journey. Keep working hard and just keep things simple. I always believe that you are special in your own way. 2-3 marks, ups and downs, its fine. The more earlier you accept, a better human being you can became. 

According to me the marks you gonna score in Gseb board's maths paper will be equivalent to the score if it would be easy.

        65-70/80.                            55-62/80

And so on...

You need to understand that score isn't everything you need to get. The simple thing is that you need to go out there and perform better in the difficult conditions. If you performed either well or average, even though you will be ahead of many other students. Your Percentile Rank won't get affected by yesterday's paper even if you score around 60-65. Maths paper was like India playing a Test match against New Zealand in windy Wellington in swinging conditions. So just relax and be proud of yourself to face one of the most difficult situation in life with the positive intent.

FINAL FIGHT - BOARDS

So finally it is the time for the board exams. The time finally came for which you, your parents, your well wishers, your doubters, your haters, your competitors are waiting since long.

You worked hard a lot for this day, for this challenge. You missed out and failed to work up to mark on many occasions throughout the year. It's fine, it happens. The most important thing at present is to accept yourself. Whatever the hard work that you have done till date was your best efforts that you can do. If you will accept yourself rather than cursing yourself, then it will help you to find your better self ahead in life. So chin up and heartily accept yourself for what you are. 

Now just focus on what the best you can do in these coming days. What can be your best move. Your best effort, that you can show. Just go out and enjoy yourself. Express yourself, express your knowledge. It is very important to enjoy the exams rather than taking any pressure. It's obvious to get nervous and feel pressure in such situations in life. But remember that situations makes you mentally strong in life. It's really important to live such crunch moments in life and trying to be positive out in the middle of the phase.

It is important to stay relax and calm before facing any challenges in life. The more you be relax and calm, the better you can perform. Calmness gift you the confidence. Confidence is very important factor that one must achieve in life. Confidence as you to take down the extra pressure that comes up on you. Self confidence plays a very crucial role in your road to success. So just take a deep breath and say to yourself, " you can do it...", and gift yourself a huge confidence. You feel confident if you have performed well in your past. You feel bit of nervousness if you didn't. Hence during your practice sessions it's important to have a good practice to get a great confidence.

Sometimes one take their practice sessions boring and it is where they are making a blunder. It's important to take the practice session seriously so that you can find out your mistakes and work on it. In order to improvise, you need to interpret and analyse your mistakes. Work on your mistakes then it simply means that you are leveling up.

In exams, if someone ask me that how can I score good? My simple answer will be that, make less mistakes and you can score good. It's OK to lose marks on the answer that you are not knowing as you are not deserving that marks. But if you make a mistake on the answer which is in your range, then it's a blunder. Just because you are deserving that marks.

Scoring 50 60 75 90 100 or any other digit doesn't matter. What that matter is your efforts. Give your 100% Input and let your output be spontaneous. One mistake that student are making is that they are contemplating about the results all the time rather than the performance they are going to give. Students keep thinking about questions which are going to be asked in the question paper rather than being ready for whatever the question that is going to be asked in the paper.

Simple change your thought process can affect and change your result drastically in a positive way. So take it as a exam that you are giving since long. It's the time to perform, it's the time to be natural and just perform well. No need to take any pressure. Just be excited for the challenge that you are going to face. You just trust and back yourself and try to bring out the best that lies within you. Give your best and results will follow.

EDUCATION - THE PRECIOUS WEAPON

Education is getting sensitive these days. There's nothing to take pressure. there's nothing to bother about it. It's just like learning the subjects and gaining fruitful knowledge that gonna help you in life directly or indirectly. With knowledge you can tackle any difficult challenge of life. So why don't people want to educate themselves and taking extra unnecesaary pressure which is having no importance at all.

Students are getting pressurized by the schools itself. Formerly there were no extra lectures, no extra school hours, no evening sessions, no weekly test, no daily homework burden. Even though students of that time are dominating nicely in the many different fields at present. So do you really think that all those modernized self finance school factors really need?These days school are charging fees for the facilities they provide.  In reality education has nothing to do with the facility. With facility if the results comes, the son of the richest person  will always gonna be  a topper. But you'll find contradiction all the time. Student who is living in a single room with his family always use to top in the exams. People are so innocent to pay higher fees. It's just for the knowledge, that one can easily get despite of the school or coaching he or she is going. Student can achieve knowledge just because he wants to learn and develop himself or herself. It's not the school that are producing them results. Yeah! There techniques might helps them little bit. But that will be for 3-5%. Rest all hard work is done by the student.

Education is one of the most important weapon that you can have. It's like we people are spoiling the real essence of education. It's getting more like a business than knowledge. People are seeking opportunity in the field of education in order to earn more and more profit. It's the easiest profession to deal with just because you need to deal with the people who are far younger than you. These days anyone becoming a teacher inspite of having proper knowledge or not. To become a Teacher at any particular school, one must have to give a proper entrance exam just like students are giving to get admissions. It will give a clear idea whether a particular person is eligible or not to educate the future of nation. Teachers are enjoying their own liberty and government rules are letting students to enjoy their own liberty without any fear. Just because these days students aren't afraid of anything, they are forgetting the most important moral values of life and very crucial factor discipline in life. 

At the epicenter of all these dramas going on, parents are getting crushed. They have the immense pressure of paying high fees. They are under pressure to make their child's future bright. So parents are ready to sacrifice everything they are having in order to educate their child. 

Do really school need branches? Will a good teacher can teacher thousands of students in a single day? Will that be productive enough? Will assessment of all the students is possible? Is 3-4 tests in a week are really essential? Is their any need of extra lectures? Their are lot many questions which always gonna remain unsolved and in fact there is no one who can solve these questions in recent. 

Formerly there was nothing like regular test. No extra lectures. A proper conceptual learning along with sports activities. Now there's nothing like sports activities. No one guides students properly if any student is really good in a particular sport. If any student is exceptional in a given sport. He must be trained accordingly as if he gonna represent the Nation at some point of time in life. It's fair enough to educate him only as he can pass the exams. Sportsman doesn't need to be a topper of the school. But really one must ask these questions. Is a student who is good at sport getting enough opportunity to play for the district, state or nation? Are they getting any training from school itself? 

Students are getting depressed just because of the burden that they aren getting from their regular school schedule. They need motivation, they need proper guidance. One need to make them understand that there's is nothing to take an extra pressure for the exams. You just need to learn the concepts, gain knowledge and just go out and try to perform well in the exams. If you don't able to perform on that particular day of the exam, then it's fine. It happens. Everyday is not your day. One must guide Student that how to deal with the success and failures with the same intensity. Instead of making them learn the bookish knowledge all the time. Just make them learn the importance of this beautiful life and how to construct it. One need to ask them actually that what they actually want to do in life instead of comparing their school results with the others.

One really need to access the scenario and understand the mindset and goals that student want to achieve in life. What he wants to do? What he need to achieve? What are their aims and ambitions. If we keep on going with our aims, their aims might get fades away and their hidden talent will never gonna come out.
